Issues & Eggs Forum 17.10
Join us for our Issues & Eggs Forum as we learn about the development of the Fox Hills Plaza.
Issues & Eggs set for October 4, 2017 at the Four Points by Sheraton is a presentation by HSH Properties on a proposed new housing development located at the corner of Bristol Parkway and Green Valley Circle (Fox Hills Plaza).
Designed by R&A Architecture and Design of Culver City, Bristol Parkway is a proposed mixed-use development at the site of the current Fox Hills Plaza. The project is envisioned to include 750 market rate rental units, with 3 acres (50% of the site) of open space and 20,000 square feet of neighborhood serving retail. The Bristol Parkway buildings are oriented with maximum access, permeability and open space in mind, and to create new connections between the Fox Hills community and the Westfield Mall.
Bristol Parkway is an ideal new housing enclave, centrally located, with easy access to major thoroughfares and public transit, proximity to major employment centers -- including Culver Pointe, Downtown Culver City, the Hayden Tract, Playa Vista and Silicon Beach -- quality schools, and safe neighborhoods.
A robust transportation demand management (TDM) plan is being developed for the project that will include car-share options and dedicated ride-share pickup areas. The team is considering other mobility solutions including morning and evening shuttles to major employment centers, unbundled parking, and an on-site ‘Transportation Information Center’ located within the leasing office where residents can obtain the pertinent information relative to their public transport usage, such as times, routes and maps. The project is also committed to encouraging bicycling, with substantial bike amenities including bike sharing, bicycle parking and bike lockers.
